New Triathlon Club Looking for Members, Northern Utah Triathletes
Triathlon is a fast growing sport in Utah and it’s easy to see why triathlons are so popular. The variety of training and challenge that triathlon provides with swimming, biking and running makes it exciting and fun! Certified running coach Lora Erickson has seen many long time runners embrace the new challenge of triathlons while still getting to enjoy running. She believes that it is important for people to learn to train properly for triathlons to avoid injury. This is the main reason behind the the new Northern Utah Triathletes triathlon club being formed. The group will welcome beginners, intermediate and elite/professional athletes. Details are still being worked out, but weekly group rides, swim clinics and running lectures will be scheduled regularly. Many pro athletes are already on board and are excited to be part of this new group. If you would like to get involved, check the website or join their Facebook page.
The Northern Utah Triathletes mission is to join mutli-sport athletes and runners together in a social, informative, and fun environment and to promote support, learning and growth. Beginner, intermediate, elite amateur/professional levels are welcome and individual involvement is encouraged to help each person reach his or her goals. Quality health education is promoted through regular practices, clinics, lectures and group challenges. No Sunday activities are supported.
