2009 Ironman 70.3 Series Race Map

The 2009 Ironman 70.3 Series will consist of 33 triathlon races and the Ironman World Championship 70.3 race in Clearwater, Florida in November. The number is up from last year’s number of 29 races in the series. They added 5 new races to the 2009 Ironman 70.3 schedule and dropped one race, in the sereis. The Ironman 70.3 Newfoundland race was canceled in September.

Changes in the schedule include the Ironman 70.3 Singapore triathlon moving from a September race date to a March date and the Ironman 70.3 Lake Stevens race moving from July to August. The Ironman 70.3 Boise race has a new start time, the race will now have a 2:00 PM start time.

New Ironman 70.3 Races:
 - Ironman 70.3 New Orleans
 - Ironman 70.3 Augusta
 - Ironman 70.3 Calgary
 - Ironman 70.3 Putrajaya (not on map yet, awaiting course map)
 - Ironman 70.3 Philippines

All of the 2009 qualifying races will have slots for the Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3 race in Clearwater, Florida in November.

An Ironman 70.3 triathlon race consists of a 1.2 mile Swim, 56 mile Bike and 13.1 mile Run.
