The 2008 Ironman 70.3 Series will consist of 29 triathlon races this year. This number is up from last year’s number of 21 races in the series. This past year, they announced 8 new races to the schedule, in new locations around the world like: Canada, Chile, China, South Africa and the United States.

- Ironman 70.3 Pucón
- Ironman 70.3 Geelong (Formerly Ironman 70.3 Port Macquarie)
- Ironman 70.3 China
- Ironman 70.3 Boise
- Ironman 70.3 Kansas
- Ironman 70.3 Rhode Island
- Ironman 70.3 Muskoka
- Longhorn Ironman 70.3 Austin *
All of the 2008 qualifying races will have slots for the Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3 race in Clearwater, Florida in November.
An Ironman 70.3 triathlon race consists of a 1.2 mile Swim, 56 mile Bike and 13.1 mile Run.
